South Fallsburg, NY – 1,000 Gallon Propane Tank Leaking after Hit by Car, Area Evacuated

South Fallsburg, NY – A car hit a 1000 gallon propane tank on Route 42 in front of Irving Estate, the tank is leaking and the area is being evacuated.

Hatzolah and fire departments from surrounding areas are all responding to help in the evacuation of about 50 bungalow colonies.

Rout 42 at Brickman Road is to be closed off from Fallsburg to Woodbourne.

Fallsburg High School being opened fro all to evacuees.

The two people in the car were taken by Hatzolah to Catskill Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries, but are not in serious condition.
