Desperate for leads, cops canvassed Midwood and reviewed surveillance video Saturday in the hopes of tracking down the masked gunman who killed Yoseph Robinson on Thursday.

As of last night, no one had been taken into custody for questioning, cops said.

Robinson, a gangster-turned-rap impresario-turned-observant Jew, was behind the counter at the MB Vineyards store on Nostrand Ave. when the gunman walked in, (as was first reported by Vos Iz Neias).

Robinson was shot twice in the chest when he struggled with the hooded robber who had pointed a gun at his girlfriend Lahavah Wallace and ordered her to cough up her jewelry. Cops are offering a $12,000 reward for information about the gunman.

When the cops want “their man” they will get him. The real question is if they really want him ? Then they will put some resources into getting him -k-

Why are you so negative?, don’t you see they offer a $12,000 reward for any information leading to the criminals arrest, they don’t do this often.

The 12000 reward is standard for any murder in the city. It is part of the 1800COPSHOT program.

what i find baffling is how there can be no witnesses seeing a man with a thick jacket and hood in the middle of the summer. that murderer was dressed as if it was siberia

reply to #7 :

What is so baffling? it was late at night, and no one said that the guy wasn’t seen, just that no one could identify him (yet).

How many people do you remember, let alone that you could describe or identify, that you passed the last time you were on the street?

# 1 i agree with you. if the cops want someone ( as when one of their
own or a politician or a vip gets killed ) they will turn over the town upside down, until they catch the “perp” it all depends on who the victim is. it’s politics as usual. although,in this case there was and is a lot of publicity surrounding the case. the cops have lots of paid and unpaid informers on the streets. lets hope the informers will come through. luckily, these type of killers like to boast to their friends,or other gang members of their exploits,so hopefully he will be found soon.

He covered up so much because he knew there were camers in the store. He cased the place earlier. If the camera keeps 10-30 days of video/pics, they need to look at old pics. Also, if there were any cameras on the block from other stores, he was first uncovered , then covered up as he went into the store, so the cameras may have picked him up uncovered. (Although by now the cops would have released it if they had it). Also, there is a school nearby with all sorts of bussed in Chayos. The perp was short, a pip squeak. He could be a teen from the school. Is there a summer program there? If so, were any kids absent the next day? There is work to do here and Im sure the cops are doing it.
