Jerusalem – The events currently shaking the Arab world “were ordained from above” by a guiding hand, Israel Defense Forces Deputy Chief of Staff Yair Naveh said on Sunday. Naveh added that the Israeli army needed faith in God now more than its supply of planes and tanks.

Naveh made the statements while accompanying Israel’s two chief rabbis, Rabbi Yona Metzger and Rabbi Shlomo Amar, on their visit to the chief military rabbi’s office at the Tzrifin base.

In remarks during the visit captured by the pro-settler news outlet Arutz 7, Naveh called Israel an island of calm in the storm of the Middle East, turmoil that had not been foreseen by intelligence officials despite their good work.

“But it was ordained from above,” he said, “and we don’t know where it will lead, but it’s clear to us that there is a hand from above.”

Remarkable and Refreshing, an isreili military leader acknowledging the hand of Hashem from above! who would believe it!

the last time this happened and was publicized was probably before the last time iranian ships used the suez canal.

way to go! this is music to hashems ears and the way we truly Win Wars!!!

use the capabilities provided and honed but forget not that without Hashem it can all fall flat.

We need hashem now as always it is just more apparent.and easier to discern

The scriptures state b’charbi and v’kashti and the lichus were carried and a sefer torah must be written for a king. IY’H no need should arise but today armored warfare is not the most decisive but the jet engines must be serviced .

Wait until the extension of the military assistance program comes before the
XCongressional budget committe and they will cut assistance. In the meantime 100 million dollars have been awarded by the US. taxpayer for the purchase of a new Dolphin submarine, the rest comes from Germany and Israel. A kiddush hashem would be if more would enlist in the IDF

One U.S. senator the darling of the tea potties is set against foreign aid , any military or economic. What happens if the chairman of the appropriation committee will read that wise statement. The Merkava tanks originally were powered by mercedes engines and now use Allison Chalmer an American made diesel engine. Why not use prayers and forgo assistance to pay for Allison Chalmer engines under the military assistance. Not wise, we need hashem’s help but let this be the sphere of the Rabbonim and the officers plan the readiness of the IDF

Faith in Hashem means build tanks to let God bring his divine will in your day when you are a tank operator.

Comparing today’s Generals, or even today’s Rabbis, to Yehoshua, Moshe, Ezra and Nechemia, will only lead to disappointment.
