New York, NY – Over the weekend Senator Chuck Schumer praised NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly’s work in the city, and said he would be an excellent candidate for running the FBI. But not if Mayor Bloomberg has anything to say about it!

The mayor agreed that Kelly is a great Commish, and said, “I, for one, would certainly like him—I expect him—to stay for the next 1,023 days.” Don’t worry, Bloomberg, Kelly isn’t interested in the job anyway. Councilman David Greenfield tweeted that he’s at a public safety hearing, and police Commissioner Ray Kelly told him that he has no plans to leave for the FBI.
