Ilya Klayuzov (EE’-lee-yah kloy-ZOF’) was charged Thursday with tampering with public records and official misconduct.

He said outside court that he was not guilty, and that he was among the top workers doing his job. He was assigned to the Times Square Queens Signal Quarters.

Prosecutors say he claimed in his logbook reports that inspections had been completed when they hadn’t. They also say he kept signal equipment bar codes in his personal locker, which is against the law.

The MTA worker says he has a master’s degree in engineering from Russia, and he has no reason to falsify documents.
