Poland – Thousands of Orthodox Jews from different parts of Europe, the USA, Canada and Israel gathered this past Sunday Mar. 27 2011 to the grave site in Lezajsk of the famous holy Chasidic Tazdik Rebbe Elimelech.

Many Hasidim arrived already for Shabbos and stayed in Lizensk. This is the second in this year’s pilgrimage Hasidim. The first time was in late February. The double celebration of the anniversary of the death of the tzaddik relates to the Jewish calendar, in which the month of Adar in a leap year occurs 2 times.
Rebbe Elimelech was one of the most famous tzaddik in old Poland, and Leżajsk once inhabited by numerous Jewish community was one of the most important.

#1 : The Gemara speaks of using a talis as a blanket so I can’t see why it shouldn’t be used as an umbrella.
