A red, white and blue sign reading “Osama Got Obama’d” was placed in front of the Civil War memorial in the city of Batavia. The handmade sign was put up early Monday morning but was removed several hours later by Genesee County officials.
The officials say the memorial is off limits to political demonstrations or signs of any kind.
Victor Thomas told the Daily News of Batavia that he and some friends placed the sign at the memorial after watching television footage of crowds outside the White House celebrating bin Laden’s death.
Thomas joined others holding a rally outside the Batavia post office, waving American flags and wearing shirts that read “Osama Got Obama’d.”
I happen to like how that sounds…
Why did they remove it?
This was not a “political” demonstration.
We hunted down and killed our Nation’s enemy like the pig he was. Nothing political about it. We are ALL PROUD (except for a few devout followers of conspiracy theories perpetuated by radio and TV entertainment shows).
they should have added to the sign “we are not responsible for typographical errors”
