Hauppauge, NY – Man Wants To Change ‘GETOSAMA’ License Plate To “GOTOSAMA”

Hauppauge, NY – Now that Osama Bin Laden has been killed, a Long Island man feels it’s time to change his license plate.

Retired NYPD officer Arno Herwerth made news in 2007 when he battled the DMV and won the right to have the license plate “GETOSAMA” on his van. The State Department of Motor Vehicles, insisted at that time that he is out of step with public decorum.

But now, with the Al-Qaida leader’s death at the hands of a U.S. Navy SEAL team in Pakistan, the Hauppauge man is heading back to the DMV to change the plate to “GOTOSAMA.”

His other vehicle has the licence plate “AX-ALQADA.”
