Manhattan, NY – New York City police briefly detained a man who was yelling “Secret Service, coming through” in order to get past throngs of onlookers as President Barack Obama made a visit to ground zero.

The man was behind a barricade on Church Street near ground zero Thursday, as the president paid respects days after the mastermind of the Sept. 11 attack was killed in a secret U.S. mission. The man had a yellow bicycle and pushed his way through the crowds saying he was Secret Service.
Officers believed he was acting suspiciously. They emptied his messenger bag, then brought him inside a post office located steps from the trade center site. At least one officer had a gun drawn.
The man was questioned and released. He was not armed.

Why wasn’t he charged by the Feds for impersonating a Secret Service Agent?
Did this guy think no one would respond to his yelling in such a place? I If he was “Secret Service” he wasn’t very professional. And if he wasn’t, he really didn’t show much respect for the people at Ground Zero. Either way, he got off easy.
I am a Director of a Federal Agency. That guy was crazy, I have assisted the secret service before in protecting the president and even met him.If my men where on that protective Detail that man would still be in coustody and talking to me.
