Obama spokesman Jay Carney told reporters traveling with the president that Obama will not deliver a major policy speech, but will instead talk about the deep bond between the U.S. and Israel.
Obama will deliver his remarks following a week focused heavily on the Middle East. He meets at the White House with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as well as Jordan’s King Abdullah, and will speak about the popular uprisings in the Middle East in a speech on Thursday.
With the resignation of George Mitchell, Obama’s special envoy for Middle East peace, there are new questions about the administration’s prospects for securing an accord between Israel and the Palestinians.

Typical. Just lip service. Watch the liberals drool over his every word, as if this is all we need. Now, Mr. Obama, put your money (action) where your mouth is. Let’s see some withholding of any and all funds to the Palestinian Authority that is now an avowed terrorist regime. You need to insist that peace efforts will resume when the conditions (remember settlements – you can make preconditions) of abandonment of terror, recognition of Israel as a Jewish state, etc. are all met. First meet these conditions, then schedule meetings to talk. Until the PA is a “peace partner”, and as long as they are sworn enemies, they should be ostracized in every which way. Actually, just a hair away from declaring war on them.
Regarding the photo with this article, why does an Air Force Officer always have to accompany the President (and make small talk with him), every time the President gets off Air Force One; this continues until he either gets into a waiting car, or a helicopter. It isn’t for security, since the Secret Service is there. It has nothing to do with protocol, nor is it mandated by federal law. Essentially, it is a waste of the taxpayer’s money to have that escort, and it should end.

Even though the WH whispered a statement to the Syrians questioning their involvement inciting protesters to march against Israel’s borders, I do not trust these upcoming meetings. Obama has embarassed himself once with Netanyahu, in America’s eyes and has shown his allegiance to Islam….if he turns his back on Israel now, he will have he// to pay.
