Washington – President Obama Hits New Low in Approval Rating Amid Debt Battle

Washington – President Obama’s job-approval rating plummeted to a new low of 40 percent yesterday, as fears mounted that Washington won’t be able to strike a deal to raise the debt limit before the nation runs out of borrowed money Tuesday.

A growing number of Americans are unhappy with Obama, who has failed to broker a deal in the debt talks amid new reports of weak economic growth and no improvement in the nation’s 9.2 percent jobless rate.

And the showdown over raising the nation’s $14.3 trillion debt limit continued to roil Washington yesterday as the Tuesday deadline for raising the limit approaches:

Obama, who left the endgame bargaining to Congress after White House talks collapsed a week ago, pleaded yesterday for the two sides to come together before it’s too late.

“I urge Democrats and Republicans in the Senate to find common ground on a plan that can get support . . . a plan that I can sign by Tuesday,” Obama pleaded.

President Obama’s job-approval rating hit a new low in a Gallup Daily tracking average from July 26-28.

    JUNE 7: 50% JULY 29: 40%

B”H I hope his numbers keep falling and he loses reelection. He’s a complete incompetent. Poor old Charlie hall is messiah and radical liberal utopia is shattering in front of his eyes.

Obama’s ratings hit a new low? To me it seems he’s working very hard. I approve of the President way more than I did two weeks ago. Has anyone read the Republican plan? RISHUS is the word that comes to mind.

The “balanced budget” concept has become a joke. It’s politics, and only politics, at this point.

Obama cannot single-handedly create a compromise. That has to come from both houses of Congress. And they will create something, even a temporary patch, but it will be a last-minute affair. And then Obama will have the choice of signing it, or bringing down the government. Single-handedly.

The Israelis had the right idea with a “no-confidence vote.” Too bad we cannot do the same.

All the liberals know how to do is spend money. The republicans are right in forcing the government to take resposibility for their debts. It’s time to stop spending money we don’t have.
