FILENew York, NY – An allegedly sticky-fingered screener for the Transportation Security Administration is being investigated after $100 went missing from a 16-year-old honor student’s gym bag before he boarded a July 21 flight at JFK Airport, The Post has learned.

Rodeen Dunn, the mother of the Brooklyn student, Chris Dunn, called the alleged theft of his cash — a gift from his grandma — “disgusting and a violation of my son’s trust.”

The incident occurred shortly after 5:15 a.m., after Chris went through screening to board a JetBlue flight to Los Angeles.

A Port Authority police source said surveillance video shows a female TSA screener spending six minutes with Chris’ bag. At one point, the worker can be seen tossing away a piece of paper, the source said.

TSA spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein said the agency has a “zero-tolerance policy for theft.”

If the TSA personel unionized, this would not happen once – it would happen more freqeuntly.

if they’v got it on video, the screener should be fired and the money returned to the teen

If they paid these TSA agents a reasonable wage, they would have to ganef from the passengers.

Travelers should keep all their money and valuables on their person. One can wear pouch around your waist or neck with your jewelry, money, passport etc.

I believe his bag was found $100 lighter! I can believe just about everything I’m hearing, regarding these people at the TSA!

When my son travelled to California with his Grandmother, I told her to NOT let any of those animals “pat down” my boy- he’s only 8 years old for crying out loud! And after the story came out of an elderly disabled woman being forced to remove her adult diaper… who KNOWS what a creep will try to get away with, concerning a child!!!

This kind of “security” is going too far! And who amongst us in this forum ACTUALLY believes we’re that secure from these pat downs?!

I have no problems with walking through a metal detector, etc, or having my purse scanned to make sure I’m not bringing anything illegal & etc into the country.

But WHY can’t they use machines like that for the LUGGAGE as well? Why are these people (TSA) allowed to sift through our baggage without our consent like that?! It’s a complete invasion of privacy! An x-ray would SHOW a gun or something like drugs anyway…there’s no need to touch our stuff….or our FAMILY MEMBERS the way they do!

This is why people are electing to take a train or a bus instead of flying anymore!
