Damascus – Syrian President Bashar Assad on Tuesday threatened to set fire to the Middle East, and especially to Israel, if NATO attacks Syria, the Iranian Fars news agency reported.

In a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Assad said: “If a crazy measure is taken against Damascus, I will need not more than six hours to transfer hundreds of rockets and missiles to the Golan Heights to fire them at Tel Aviv.”
Davutoglu reportedly conveyed a message of warning from the US to Assad. The Iranian report has not been verified by other sources.
According to the Fars news agency, the Syrian president stressed that Damascus will also call on Hezbollah in Lebanon to launch a fierce rocket and missile attack on Israel, one that Israeli intelligence could never imagine.

Wait a minute. What Assad is saying is all these years he has let the State of Israel hang on to the Golan and didn’t even reacted when the Zionists bombed Syria several years ago. Why would NATO try to remove him when he has served the State of Israel so well like all the other regimes around? Even Hizbullah keeps the border area safe from infiltration from Palestinians across into the Galilee. When was the last time you heard of Palestinians trying to break through and take over land in Galilee? The war of Hizbullah was just a one-time event to prove their capabilities. Neither they nor Assad have any interest in doing more, EVEN in order to get the Golan. Because if he thought he could recover the Golan by bombing Tel Aviv, he would have. Furthermore, he only uses his weapons on his own people. When was the last time the Syrian army was used against its Zionist enemy?
Assad must remember that Israel need not 2 hours to attack any rocket supplies that they would want to bring to the Golan Heights.

The Israeli Air Force wouldn’t even have to be used. EY has pilotless drones, plus thousands of its own missiles and rockets in bunkers. In addition, it has submarines off the coast which can fire missiles at Syria. Last, it still retains its nuclear option. Syria has been a thorn in the side of EY for over six decades. Captured soldiers of the IDF during the Yom Kippur war were brutalized and tortured by the Syrians. Captured Syrian soldiers during the Yom Kippur War, who were released in a prisoner exchange, were warned not to tell anybody about the good medical care which they received, while recovering from war injuries in EY. The younger Assad is just as bad, if not worse than his Father was.

Assad reacted with violence against its own population, and earned the wrath and disdain of the international community, plus some sanctions that have been tightened a few times. Israel has not a thing to do with any of this. But the crosshairs of whatever Assad wants to use to threaten are on Israel. That is the typical reaction of all identified Muslims. Blame the Jew, and prepare to invest all resources to bring harm on the Jew. I’m just waiting for the messages of appeasement from the White House.

Were Israeli intelligence to learn of a potential strike by Syria against it, one of the first items on the agenda will be to destroy any bases where these missiles reside and the ones that somehow get away beforehand will be eliminated on route to the Golan which they need to deliver by truck.
Once the threat has been compromised, the next order of business will be to eliminate Assad’s various palaces around the country, and even if Assad or any of his family members aren’t killed in the process it’s a huge embarrassment, to say the least, for Assad.
He must be going down the Arab tyrant checklist.
