The seventy five minute training session, which was held at a field office in lower Manhattan, was attended by several senior members of the New York Field Office as well as many newly graduated members of the FBI Academy. Among the items discussed at the session were properly treatment of a deceased body, preventing autopsies whenever possible, the need for speedy burial, handling of a Sefer Torah that is rendered irreparable.
“The meeting went very well and we received great feedback from the FBI,” Yanky Meyer of Misaskim told VIN News. “They told us that the meeting was a real eye opener, opening up an entire world for them. They had no idea what many of the requirements were in dealing with terrorist attacks, hate crimes or vandalism against a synagogue from the perspective of Jewish law and tradition.”
Misaskim and the FBI hope to hold another joint training session in the near future in order to educate another group of agents how to better understand the unique needs of the Jewish community.
God this is nasty. We have breeded a generation of attention seekers like never before. Why on earth can’t our volunteers find solace in doing their worl in a discreet manner. Training with the FBI, are you kiddin me or what. Very important to have a law inforcment training in order to collect body parts or whipe off blood at a tragic sceen.
I say to chaveirim, just continue to assist with lockouts and blow up low tires. Stay out of any rescue missions and emergency situations. You don’t need walkie talkies and flashing jackets.
To misaskim a plea, keep on doing what you have done till now. No need for 3 mobile phone and 2 walkie talkies garnished with lights and strokes on the black GMC yukon. Frankly, law enforcment are not too pleased that you guys strech your involvment into their teritory.
Sorry for being a bit rude but someone has to speak out what many are affraid to utter.
