Flatbush, NY – Firefighters were battling a four-alarm blaze in a one-story commercial building that houses a kosher sushi distributor in East Flatbush.

The fire broke out at 561 Utica Ave. Firefighters had rushed into the, but were forced out when the roof, ceiling and part of a wall collapsed.
At least one of the building’s tenants is Natural Earth Products, a large kosher food distributor of nori, wasabi and other sushi products.
I’m not sure what a kosher “sushi distributor” is. Anyone purchasing prepackaged sushi has to be ganz meshuge since the rice used for sushi must be served within a few hours of preparation or the texture will be like dreche. I won’t even comment about the quality of fish in prepackaged sushi unless its one of those silly Americanized rolls using smoked fish or mock crab.

Nice to see that in the midst of a critical need for unity among klal Yisrael, especially among the shomrei Torah u’mitzvot, you people are fighting about–calling each other names over–NORI AND WASABI SAUCE. [sigh] I have a sharp ta’aveh for sushi and sashimi. But I also have perspective.
Harav Wolfson gave a drasha a few nights back, asking why b’nei Yisrael aren’t showing enough concern about the Iran situation. Now I know why.

A number of essential sushi ingredients are manufactured by a handful of kosher suppliers. As one who enjoyed the NY kosher sushi scene for a number of years and as a fellow Jew I sincerely wish these proprietors only mazel and bracha moving forward.

I’m confused by the words “at least”. How could Natural Earth Products possibly be *more* than one of the building’s tenants?!
(Reply to #16 ): If you ask your grocer, “Are those cupcakes milchig?” And he says, “Well I don’t know all the ingredients, but I know for sure there’s butter in them.” So now you know “at least one of the ingredients in the cupcakes is milchig.” There may be more milchig ingredients in them. There may be milk. There may be cream. But AT LEAST ONE of the ingredients is milchig. Same with the sushi distributor: there MAY be other tenants in the building, unfortunately, who suffered damage. Right now, we’re not sure. But we do know of at least one tenant in the building – Natural Earth Products. “At least” refers to what we know so far. Does that help?
