    11

Footage taken from the Jerusalem – Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon told Turkish daily Hürriyet on Thursday that Israel is ready to send a letter much like the one Washington sent to Islamabad over the killing of 24 Pakistani soldiers in order end the impasse with Ankara.

“I see some kind of improvement and opportunities,” Ayalon was quoted as saying.

Relations between the Turkey and the Muslim NATO power, a mainstay of Washington’s influence in an unstable region, fell apart after Israel’s navy killed nine pro-Palestinian Turkish activists who tried to breach its blockade of Gaza in May 2010.

Well, yeah. The military botched the job and embarrassed the nation. I suppose an apology is in order.

Turkey should rather apologize to Israel,

The only thing Israel should apologize for is not sinking the whole feakin’ boat.

Israel should not backtrack and apologize. This makes them be perceived as weak and feeds the notion that they were wrong.

What the bleep is your problem! What did you want they should do? Come in with blazing fire? And kill everyone of those animals on board? What would the world say then? They did the best possible! Trying to avoid casualties and at the same time stop the ship from heading towards the Gaza shores. Apology

That’s shortsighted. Let’s see how you deal with a swarm of hostile vigilantes wielding weapons at you from all sides.

Smart move for whomever convinced Netanyagu to reverse course and appologize. While Turkey was clearly helping trying to help the demonstrators, the response was clearly excessive and the loss of life was inexcusable. EY needs every friend it can get and while I don’t expect Turkey to move back to its former status as an cooperative ally on defense matters, an appology will slow the downward spiral of antagonism.

I’ve drafted the letter for them. Here it is: we are sorry that events have prevented us from teaming up together against our common threat Syria. Let’s make up and join together against Assad and any stray artillery from the conflict.

The raid on the boat was dumb. There were other ways of stopping it short of putting soldiers lives in danger by boarding it and giving our enemies a public relations victory. I couldn’t care less about those killed, but I do care about the fact that the raid made Israel look stupid.

Israel the suicial country will once again come across as weak and pathetic. They enforced their security and for that their soilders were savagely attacked and nearly killed. They were acting in pure self defense. (We all saw the pictures of the weaponry that was prepared by these terrorists)
Anybody that disagrees with that has not watched the clip or is a bleeping Anti Semite.
