Najeh Abu Ali, 47, said Monday while recovering in hospital that he believes his six attackers were settlers, based on their appearance. He was attacked Sunday as he led his herd to graze near the outposts. He suffered gashes and required stitches.
Iyad Haddad, a researcher for the Israeli human rights group B’Tselem, says five others from Abu Ali’s village of Mikhmas have been attacked in the same area in recent years.
Israeli police say an investigation has begun, with a range of motives being considered.
UN statistics show a rise in reported settler attacks since 2006, with over 60 cases this year.
It could have been an inter-Arab feud, that he is trying to blame on outsiders, if not a total fabrication. Such things have happened before.
The past teaches us to treat such claims with a nice dose of salt.
Unless 6 guys were tickling him with the pipes, he’d be dead.
Its much more likely that it was Arabs dressed like settlers.
If his beating up was a result of a fight they had with him and the settlers got the upper hand then too bad for him.
If the beating was just becuase he is Palestinian its not enough they stole the land from the Arabs they are also beating them up,what a shanda.
What nonsense. The Arabs always blame Jews for everything.
That’s what he gets for beating that sheep like that.
