Attorney Lou LaPietra tells the Daily News (http://nydn.us/1499RDm ) the board doesn’t have the right to question Deputy Inspector Anthony Bologna.

Bologna is scheduled to speak before the board on Friday. He was cleared of criminal charges in the incident in April.

A spokeswoman for the CCRB tells the paper the board’s review of the incident was delayed by NYPD and Manhattan district attorney’s office investigations.

Video of the September 2011 event shows a group of women getting hit with pepper spray by an officer, who was later identified as Bologna.

Bologna faces a federal civil suit.

Mob? Dude, he was spraying peaceful people. On the other hand, it looks like he really enjoys his work.

To #1 - Evidently, the Internal Affairs Division of the NYCPD disagreed with you. Bologna was transferred to desk duty on Staten Island, from his prestige position in Manhattan. I saw the tape of what happened. There were several women seated behind police barricades, who were minding their own business. Bologna, who appeared to be a sadist, sprayed them without provocation. I can still hear the horrible, piercing scream of one of the young women in the group, after she was sprayed in her eyes. It is too bad that the Manhattan DA did not bring criminal charges against Bologna. If this was the other way around, criminal charges would have been brought. Incidentally, this incident appears to be the first time in the history of the NYCPD, that a Deputy Inspector engaged in such atrocious conduct!

It wasn’t so long ago, we all remember the vermin that took part in those “protests.” Pepper spraying is the not nearly as effective as what that vermin deserve.

Any NYer should fear when cops can do wrong and not have to answer. I am not Judge and Jury but there needs to be responsibility. They can attack you or your family over a parking incident.
I am not saying I was there or who was right. I must state that although many victims were described as vermin that does not include all victims.
