in a letter to DOT head, Secretary Anthony Foxx, Schumer cited a November incident in which an Israeli passenger was not allowed to board a New York to London flight on Kuwaiti Airlines because the airline doesn’t recognize Israel.

Schumer said this is in violation of federal law, statute (49 USC 40127), “an air carrier or foreign air carrier may not subject a person in air transportation to discrimination on the basis of race, color national origin, religion, sex or ancestry,” and that any airline in violation of the law should be “fined and enjoined under our laws.”

So – good luck with that one, Senator! And why would any Israeli (Jewish) want to travel with a plane full of Kuwaiti-originating passengers? In a previous life, I’ve flown Egypt Air, Royal Jordanian, Saudia and Garuda Indonesia. FYI – Not good to arrive in Saudia Arabia with shekels in the pocket (I dumped them) and a siddur (they picked it up, looked at it and put it back down – nes gadol hayah sham).

Every first of the month something that would give him headlines, never follows up.

Still waiting for him to follow up on last months, going to launch an investigation on high utility bills.

These people are so filthy oil rich they’d rather pay the fine and ban the Jews anyway.

Schumer is right. Deny them landing rights. Let the Arab rashaim take a US or European airline.

Perhaps he ought to be concerned about Americans who have trouble with American airlines. Remarkably, worrying about everyone and every airline in the world is not his job.
