NYDAILYNEWS.com (http://nydn.us/1iYZl8a) reports that that despite an official statement from Bush’s spokesman Freddy Ford that a “scheduling conflict” was the reason for Bush’s absence, a source close to event organizers said Bush declined out of fear that his attendance would open a floodgate of emotions.

“It would’ve been too emotional,” the source said.

Bush instead opted to attend an Arkansas ceremony attended by 9/11 survivors and hosted by the Congressional Medal of Honor Society.

Bush’s absence was received negatively by many families of victims and rescue workers who died in the attacks, including one Queens woman who called conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh’s show to vent, asking,“Where the hell was President Bush? Why wasn’t his name even mentioned?”

Glaring absence of George W, Dick Cheney and Condoleeza Rice. Bush is probably right that nobody wanted him or his posse there.

He supposedly ignored Clinton’s “exit interview” advice that Osama Bin Laden was the greatest security threat to the USA, not Iraq as he & Cheney had been saying for months on the campaign trail. And then Condoleezza peddled lies to foreign leaders and to the American people to garner support for their war strategy in Iraq.

Between the war in Iraq and the state of the economy – Bush set the way for a relative unknown to win the next election – that’s how dissatisfied people were with him. It will take the Republicans a decade more to recover.

Oh – and was Giuliani there? I associate him with the aftermath of 9/11 – he tried to keep us sane.

    Conflictingly involved in oil production
Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction
    One thing was certain
    It was all for Halliburton
And, to the wealthy he bestowed tax deduction.
