HERALDSUN.com (http://bit.ly/1takaoD) reports that the book, FlightMH370: The Mystery, hits the shelves today and that its author, Nigel Cawthorne, bases his theory, in part, on eyewitness testimony from a New Zealand oil rig worker who reported seeing an explosion in the sky on the evening of May 8 while working in the South China Sea.

The oil rig worker, Mike McKay, sent a companywide email following the event saying, “From when I first saw the burning (plane) until the flames went out (still at high altitude) was 10-15 seconds. There was no lateral movement, so it was either coming toward our location, stationary, or going away from our location.”

Cawthorne states in the book that, “Data that sent the search off in other directions – first to the Straits of Malacca and then on to the Southern Indian Ocean – was a ruse to cover up the reality.”

There are probably some idiots who will actually buy this trash…just as there were some who bought the book about flight 800 being shot down by missiles off the New York coast. There are fools and there are mamash fools who make these predators rich by paying for their garbage.

This is a good of an explanation as any. Stranger explanations have come up.

Unless it’s true that the communication has been shut down by pilots or someone on plane…..then this would not make sense.
Seems easy enough to check this story out. I’m sure they know this location mentioned in book….. Any sign of the plane?

Dozens of people reported seeing two missles hit flight 800. They must have made that up.

All this conspiracy theory is based on is some rig worker saying he saw a fireball at high altitude for 10-15 seconds. His observation was investigated in the next few days after the event, but nothing was found. There was not even mention of military exercises back then. How could there be a joint US/Thai military exercise off the coast of Vietnam without anyone knowing about it – Not the vietnamese, Chinese, Malaysians or the general Thai or American public. There is no evidence for it and a lack of evidence proves nothing. This is just someone trying to make a buck off other peoples tragic misery.

We heard the same bubba meises in 1996, when TWA Flight 800 crashed into Long Island Sound; even the late Pierre Salinger was advocating the theory that the TWA flight was shot down by a missile. Despite many forensic tests by independent investigators, which disproved that theory 100%, there are still some people who believe that scenario. It is tantamount to believing that Lee Harvey Oswald was completely innocent, and was set up.
