In an interview Sunday with CBS’ “Face the Nation.” Bloomberg said, “If I thought I could win, it would be something to consider. But you can’t win, and I’ve given 12 years to public service and I’m not going to be a candidate for President,” during an appearance on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”
Continuing, the former New York mayor said, “A lot of times, party loyalty means a lot to some people and there’s a big percentage of the public that would vote Democratic or Republican no matter who their candidates were. And no matter how much the press wants to create an Independent because it’s good for selling newspapers and inches and minutes … it’s just not possible.”
When asked about who he might back in a 2016 presidential run should they declare, Bloomberg had kind words for Hillary Clinton, saying she’d make a “spectacular candidate,” while also speaking favorable of Jeb Bush on the Republican side.
Bloomberg added that while he doesn’t believe BridgeGate would be a major roadblock for neighboring New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, he is certain Christie wishes it never happened.
cmon, if he was pres we could have bike lanes throught the united states
This sounds promising. A guy who’s so rich that he won’t be beholden to ANY special interests, and who can do what is right – even if it’s not politically correct. May HaShem give him the wisdom and strength to make the right decision.
Go back in your rat hole you uber rich leftist snob.
well. he won’t get my vote
No driving, no smoking, no saving, no drinking, no smiling, no assistance, no privacy, no MBP, no term limits.
Yes to higher fees, higher, taxes, higher driving fees, higher water bills, higher utility bills, higher police corruption, higher license fees, higher passport fees, higher authority, anti religious policies and just a total moron.
A Yid can never be elected President.
Any one over Obama is an upgrade
Would anyone run if they thought they couldn’t win? What’s the chiddush?
Say what you want he made NYC what it is today. Under his watch crime was the lowest, low class nieghboorhoods became hip and tons of jobs were made in NYC. I don’t agree with all his policies either. But the man knows how to run things well.
People seem to forget the anti-Semitism which was unleashed on the internet, and elsewhere, when Gore chose Lieberman as his running mate, in 2000. There are people throughout the USA, who hate Jewish candidates from the Northeast, especially those with plenty of gelt. Hence, Bloomberg has a minus 0 chance of ever dreaming of such an office. Further, it would be great if a Jew is NEVER elected President. We have enough tsouris as it is now. Look at all of the hatred which has been unleashed at Blacks, because of Obama. If chas v’shalom a Jew was elected President, (and things started to go wrong), there would be anti-Semitism in the USA, the likes of which, have never been seen before
If he’d run I’d post posters with a picture of a car buried in 3 ft of snow with a parking ticket on the windshield. To remind New Yorkers that he ordered the police to give parking tickets for alternate side parking tickets after 1 of the blizzards during his 1st term, when it was virtually impossible to move your car… (those tickets were eventually dismissed after intervention by local politicians) And who doesn’t remember one of the later blizzards during his 3rd term when the streets weren’t cleaned at all, leaving the city crippled 4 a week or so…. He’s so out of touch with the non billionaire citizen….
