Weehawken, NJ – Arrest Made In Tuesday’s Threat That Caused Mass Traffic Near Lincoln Tunnel

    Dozens of heavily armed police officers from several departments swarmed Hoboken and Weehawken Tuesday evening after a 911 call claimed a sniper was on the roof of a building near the Lincoln Tunnel. (FOX5)Weehawken, NJ – Port Authority detectives have charged a 39 year-old Pennsylvania man in connection with the bogus threat on Tuesday evening in Weehawken that resulted in chaos in and around the Lincoln Tunnel.

    7ONLINE.com (http://7ny.tv/1iom1zz) reports that following an investigation that began with tracing the phone used to place the threat back to Park Avenue and 19th Street in Weehawken, detectives ultimately arrested Donald Wallace at around midnight on West 47th Street and 11th Avenue.

    Wallace has been charged with creating false public alarm and making terrorist threats in connection with the 5:15 p.m. 911 call during which he made general threats against New York City.

    After tracing the call, a number of roads in and around the Lincoln Tunnel were shut down, causing a both commuter nightmares and panic for stranded commuters.

    Just shows how vulnerable we have become by being so frightened of everything. terrorist doesn’t need to waste time actually doing anything other than make a phone call. And if he weren’t an idiot and used a prepaid phone instead of his own cell and then threw it out after making the call, he would never be caught and could effectively shut down the city over and over.
