Jerusalem – Likud MK Moshe Feiglin appeared on CNN on Tuesday to defend himself against accusations that he advocated placing Gazans in “concentration camps” as a response to the rocket fire against Israel.

Feiglin, the ultra-hawkish lawmaker who holds the position of deputy speaker of the Knesset, asked to appear on Wolf Blitzer’s “The Situation Room” after his controversial proposal, in which he advocated for massing Palestinians into “an open space near the border with Sinai and adjacent to the sea” so that Israel could avoid civilian casualties and strike at rocket launchers, was brought up a day before in an interview Blitzer conducted with a Hamas spokesperson.
When pressed by Blitzer as to whether Feiglin had urged Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to establish “concentration camps” for Palestinians, Feiglin said that he had pushed for a plan that would create “sheltered areas” for civilians in Gaza so as to provide a “humane” option that would allow Israel to more effectively crush Hamas rocket-launchers.
“I want to give the Arabs in the Gaza Strip three choices,” Feiglin said. “Those who are fighting against us should be killed. Those who are launching rockets from kindergartens should be shot. Those who wish to leave the Gaza Strip – and our surveys indicate that 80 percent want to leave – should get the support from us and the international community to find a better place.”
“Those who want to stay can stay,” Feiglin said. “This is a plan [that allows] Israel to win this war.”
When Blitzer asked Feiglin whether he supported “tent encampments” for Gazans before they are “helped along to another destination,” the Likud MK replied: “Definitely.”
“This is a war between evil and good, between light and darkness,” Feiglin said.
OH Blitz as always a “wolf” in sheeps clothing.
Sounds about right. Much more humane than setting up schools with missiles stored in the basements.
I know Feiglin personally. I’ve davened with him on numerous occasions and been in several meetings with him and his inner circle. He’s honest, straight talking a ben Torah and uncompromising. The left hates him. The media hates him. Many on the right don’t understand him. But he is one the most eloquent and principled of public servants in Israel today. The media likes to twist his words and use select sound bites to slant how he is perceived. Feiglin’s intent here is not to create camps; rather to preserve lives. Hamas clearly doesn’t mind using the civilians as sacrificial lambs.
Let the world see that Jews can be militant..
Feiglin for PM.
Reply to 4. Let the world see that all of the destruction in the world is due to Moslems, and that Israel is single handedly doing the world’s work. And just remember you twit, once Hamas has annihilated Israel, you and the rest of the western infidels are next on their list
He has the right idea and possibly the only one!
The idea may have been suggested with best intentions, but the way it is expressed and the time it is publicised just shows how Israeli politicians have no regard how careless talk impacts on Israels image abroad. Here in London, one paper headlined concentration camps and exterminating (he means Hamas, they implied Palestinians) and unleashed a torrent of hate comments.
