Moscow – US President Barack Obama and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un are among the heads of state invited by Moscow to attend Russian commemorations of the 70th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany.

“This would be a very big event,” Yuri Ushakov, foreign policy advisor to President Vlaidimir Putin, was quoted by the Interfax news agency as saying about the event, set to take place in 2015.
A number of invitations were send to heads of state and government, he said.
Ushakov added that the event would be an opportunity for “importnat bilateral contacts.”
“We have received signals that [North Korea‘s Kim] intends to travel to Moscow,” Ushakov said.
It would the first foreign trip since his coming to power. His father, Kim Jong Il, visited Russia shortly before his death in 2011.
