Petraeus discusses ISIS (using the Arabic acronym Daesh), the reality of war against them and other threats faced by the U.S. today, mainly Iran.
He notes that Iran is not an ally of the U.S., and that the more Iranians are viewed as dominating the Middle East, the more it incites the rise of the Islamic State. Petraeus says that Iranian power has two major problems: that it is hostile toward the U.S. and our allies, and that as it grows, the more it sparks harmful reactions.
