The number of homes in New York City that sold for more than $10 million over the last seven years totaled 1,355, compared to just 11 Westchester estates that cost $10 million or more, reports the new York Post (http://bit.ly/1G0A5hW).

Just two $10 million-plus Westchester homes sold each year in 2011, 2012 and 2013, while 143 New York City homes sold in 2011, 180 in 2012 and 200 in 2013.

No homes in Westchester costing $10 million or more sold in the first quarter of 2015.

One of the reasons why city luxury condos are selling so well is that they include amenities such as access to private restaurants, pools, health clubs and movie-screening moves, said architect Robert A.M. Stern, who designed 15 Central Park West.

Young people don’t want suburban home since they don’t marry and don’t want children. It is enough to have a ‘partner’ and no kids, so they don’t need a home in the suburbs.

America has become a sick hedonistic society.
