According to the sources, Hamas learned during last summer’s Operation Protective Edge that the cost of engaging in direct confrontation with the IDF was not worth it, and that it will instead focus on carrying out terror attacks originating in the West Bank.

The decision came, according to Al Hayat’s sources, after Hamas realized that, during the summer 2014 war, IAF strikes targeting members of the group’s military wing in population centers were leading to large number of civilian casualties.

“Israel did not hesitate to bombard and kill all the family members who were in the surroundings of members of the military wings,” a source said.

The sources added that when Hamas realized in the last days of the war that Israel was continuing its aerial bombardments around the clock, leading to the deaths of dozens of Palestinians every day, they agreed to a cease-fire without any conditions.

Hamas is not abandoning military action against Israel, the source said, but has taken a strategic decision to suspend seeking an open war against the Jewish state for now.

By attacking Israel with terror attacks from the West Bank, the IDF responds only in a localized nature against specific targets, unlike the comprehensive Israeli response in Gaza, the source said.

Why is it that the U.S., Europe and Muslims can indiscriminately kill ISIS soldiers in the tens of thousands, but Israel can’t kill Hamas soldiers? What’s the difference? With Isis, if you follow their interpretation of Koran they will leave you alone. With Hamas, they want to get rid of us no matter what. Abbas (moderate???) said he won’t allow any Jew to live in Palestine.

so BIBI why was it necessary to send 67 soldiers to death and 322 to paralysis if aerial bombardment did the job? Furthermore now that Obama gave Iran access to weapons, within the year HAMAS will have Russian anti-aircraft weapons capable of shooting down F-16’s. There are no civilians in war.

….and thats proof in how to fight a war! Stupid politically correct wars cant do anything, only severe punishment changes the will of rogue governments and their people. Israel now needs to have a policy if attacking gaza upon any chamas sponsored terrorist attack anywhere. The war and all the killing is now justified because without so many civilian casualties, they wouldnt have gained this prospective. Btw, fyi, in the news yesterday; america is killing thousands of civilians in the bombings of Isis, we need to ignore world opinion and do what is needed to neutralize the enemy. Lastly, Bibi needed a ground war to rout out the tunnels and kill as many fighters as possible. V’hamaiven Yavin!
