The stabbings horrified the country, garnered across-the-board condemnation from Israeli society, including from Orthodox religious figures, and drew international attention due to the ferocity of the attack and the footage that emerged of it.

Schlissel, who was previously imprisoned for 10 years for stabbing three people at the 2005 Jerusalem Gay Pride Parade, was arrested during the stabbing rampage, just weeks after being released from jail.

He killed 16-year-old Shira Banki and wounded six others, who were named as Yarden Noy, Kfir Gil, Noam Eyal, Yael Belkin, Sagiv Satkolshtick and Sheli Bar Niv.

At the arraignment, Schlissel continued to refuse to recognize the court’s authority, stating “God, the creator of the world, did not give you authority to judge me, and so I am not interested in asking questions or responding to them.”

When the court asked him to stand – as is customary when addressing the court – he refused, and stated, “I am not interested in getting up.”

Despite Schlissel’s continued refusal to agree to have the Public Defender’s Office represent him, or to accept any legal representation, the court ordered the public defender present to continue to speak for him in court.

Schlissel has refused legal representation since he considers that it would be an acknowledgment of the validity of the court proceedings against him.

The court also read the indictment in spite of Schlissel’s lack of interest in the proceedings.

The indictment stated that leading up to the parade, Schlissel had called on ultra-Orthodox Jews in Jerusalem and Modi’in Illit to take action against it, and that on the day of the parade he purchased a 15 cm.-long kitchen knife for the purpose of stabbing participants.

Schlissel’s first attempt at infiltrating the parade was stopped by police. He managed to gain entry and launch the attack by joining it from a different street.

Please take this drek out to some location in the desert and shoot him…It would be an act of great charity for both him and klal yisroel. Why do we waste public resources on these sick animals.

It is interesting to note that today in israel there is a sand storm. Any physical work outside can cause death through the breathing of air particles. I wonder if this is because of the persecution of schlissel who stood up for the holiness of jerusalem. Also interesting to note the 911 attack happened on today’s parsha on a Tuesday in which we read about the turning over of sodom.

Being gay is the extreme opposite of holiness. The court is unholy is obvious. There’s nothing holy about them. But where in the article is it mentioned that he rejects the court authority as unholy?
It’s not as if he’ll suffer less or won’t be jailed if he’ll get up for those unholy judges. He might as well stay firm to his resolution.
If only all Jews would have such strength to worship Hashem.

First of all, this man is both evil and insane. Anyone who supports him is both. You want to go to Shamayim and tell HaShem that you supported the murder of a teenaged girl? A pox on you.
The same prohibition on homosexuality is on treif seafood. Would any of these Neturei Karta heroes attack a restaurant full of diners? nope, because they would fight back.
This man is human drek and thankfully, due to Israel’s legal system, he will never breathe fresh air again.

#6 “Homosexuality the worst sin of the Torah”

Who told you this? What source is there for such a statement?

So homosexuality “ends the potential of life” whereas this menuval didn’t just metaphorically end a life, he actually killed a person. Shem reshaim yirkav.
