It’s currently scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 11.

Lawmakers and supporters said that they wanted to move the date in honor of 9/11, as well as in observation of the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah.

WHEC says the bill — passed by both the state Senate and Assembly — now goes to Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Since the primaries are rigged by the local political clubs and factions and have the lowest turn-out, is the expenditure to move the date really justified? Would have been better to confirm the joke on us and leave it be.
