Giuliani joined Trump’s legal team last month and has become its public face, frequently defending Trump on television. He caused a stir over the weekend when he told a group that supports the overthrow of Iran’s government that Trump is “committed” to regime change there. That came a few days after Giuliani said on television that North Korea would release three Americans detained in the country.

But State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert says Giuliani “speaks for himself and not on behalf of the administration on foreign policy.”

It’s the latest sign that Giuliani’s public comments are causing consternation for Trump’s administration.

Well, neither does John Kerry. I haven’t heard the State Department say anything about that doddering idiot.
