Fort Lauderdale – A video of the pre-dawn FBI raid at Roger Stone’s house in Florida shows agents in combat gear using night-vision equipment and running up to Stone’s home and banging repeatedly on the door. On the video, aired on CNN, one agent shouts “FBI open the door! FBI, warrant!”

Stone is an associate of President Donald Trump. Stone is charged with witness tampering, obstruction and false statements stemming from special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe. The indictment does not accuse Stone of coordinating with Russia’s election interference in 2016. But it lays out Stone’s conversations about stolen Democratic emails posted by WikiLeaks in the weeks before Trump defeated Democrat Hillary Clinton.
The arrest scene included about a half-dozen police vehicles, a dozen officers and agents in tactical vests and large weapons. Stone appeared in his doorway in sleepwear, with his glasses on. An agent asked him, “are you Roger Stone?” and he said “yes.”
Stone was then led away.
Stone is scheduled to make a court appearance later Friday. He has maintained his innocence.
I wonder how Yonosonw will defend this one. The rishus of US law enforcement Is well known and documented. No other developed nation uses the same methods and tactics. Why couldn’t he just be given the opportunity to give himself up? (Don’t even start with the flight risk thing.) If they did have to arrest him why so early in the morning? Why all the combat gear? Pure and simple rishus to paint the accused as some guilty animal even before a trial. Stone may very well be guilty, but the FBI’s arresting methods for white collar crime has got to stop.
One police car would have already been overkill. What a sick waste of tax payer funds. Looks like they just want publicity, and apparently for political reasons.

Police raids are like that nowadays. Makes no difference who you are. He was safely taken into custody and prevented from destroying evidence. Nothing special.
Let Giuliani complain. He invented the perp walk. Would go to Wall Street and frog march the defendants put and made sure the TV stations were out on the street waiting to capture the footage.
Stone played by hard and disgusting rules including starting rumors that almost destroyed marriages. He was paid back in kind.
