Orthodox Jewish Man Attacked Shabbos Afternoon With Belt in Flatbush, NY

Flatbush – A Jewish man was walking on Ave J and E 15th in Flatbush, when he was approached by two possibly intoxicated individuals.

The two men confronted him unprovoked, hit him in the face with a belt and yelled anti-Jewish racial slurs.

The incident happened on Shabbos afternoon at appproximately 7 PM.

The victim tells police that the attack was completely unprovoked, as there were no words exchanged between them before the attack.

The NYPD is investigating the incident as a hate crime.

I used to live in that area, yeas ago; then, the area was almost 100% Jewish. Unfortunately, that area has seen other unprovoked attacks against Jews in recent years. When I lived there, such attacks were completely unheard of! A shanda what is occurring not only on Avenue J, but also in Crown Heights, Williamsburg, and Borough Park!

Too bad nypd local precinct under david wall refuses to do proactive policing the cops of the 70 refuse to leave their vehicles that block has. A dunkin donuts on it impossible cops werent there they like david wall dont care, #1 is right area used to be jewish now its 40% at best due to absentee jewish landlords
