WASHINGTON (AP) President Donald Trump says the U.S. military raid that took out Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is a bigger deal than the 2011 killing of Osama bin Laden during the Obama administration.

Trump is detailing the operation during an announcement at the White House.
The president acknowledges that the death of bin Laden was significant, but he believes the news about al-Baghdadi is even bigger news.
Trump says that bin Laden didn’t become a global name in terrorism until the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. The president says that’s in contrast to al-Baghdadi, who Trump says is responsible for building a caliphate.

Trump maybe nuts, but he is certainly a nut you want around as he seems to be accomplishing a lot more than the very articulate, level headed, well spoken, humorous, professional , good looking and oh so bright Obama.
I don’t understand Trump’s comment that he “died like a dog”. He blew himself up using a suicide vest also killing his young children. Dogs don’t do that. A dog was the only American casualty, killed during the explosion.
During the press conference Trump at times sounded like he was reviewing a movie.
This military action has no bearing on the impeachment inquiry which is determining if Trump committed crimes

The targeted attack on al-Baghdadi, does not compare to the killing of Bin Ladin. The former terrorist was small potatoes in comparison to Bin Ladin. Bin Ladin was responsible for 9/11/01, as well as other attacks on American facilities in Africa, and Saudi Arabia. The operation to kill him al-Baghdadi involved a number of other countries, and was of a relatively brief duration. On the other hand, the operation to kill Bin Ladin took nearly ten years, and was executed by the USA alone. Also, it was much riskier. While the al Baghdadi operation was a large success, and a noted achievement for Trump, it still doesn’t compare the the killing of Bin Ladin, in 2011. However, if the Trump Administration, can also locate and kill Ayman Al-Zawahiri (Bin Ladin’s number two man, who was also involved with the planning of 9/11/01), that would be a major feather in his cap, and would be on a comparison with the killing of Bin Ladin. Ayman Al-Zawahiri has been on the run for almost twenty years, and there is also a 25 million dollar bounty on his head.
why can’t the American special forces also kill the Iranian heads. the world would be a better place !

Bin Laden killed over 3000 Americans, but at the time of his assassination was a symbol & a has been. Al Baghdadi personally commanded over 50,000 fighters who aspired to take over the Middle East with his Caliphacy and was actively recruiting thousands of fighters from Europe & the US. He was clearly a bigger threat than Bin Lsden, and he was responsible for alot more than 3000 deaths.
And while Trump has his faults (narcissism, rudeness, thin skin, preferred people to fear him than like him, inability to tell if someone was laughing at him, etc.), he was a much better leader for the US & certainly the most pro Israel President in history. Compare that to Obama, who hated America, despised Israel, and was a charismatic and charmer who was a horrible leader who had Sharpton sleep in the White House over 50 times. Divided America, lied to minorities & convinced them that White people were inferior to them and stole their money & power (similar to the NYTimes 1619 prohect).
