Amazon also said, that it has launched an international Amazon website which is available now in Hebrew. This is in addition to Amazon’s recently launched Israeli platform, which contains only sellers in Israel.

The free delivery offer does not include all products, but does extend to thousands of products in various categories, which are marked, “Free shipping to Israel.” There is also an option to search for products in stores of specific sellers included in the bargain campaign.

In an announcement Monday, the company said the new Hebrew “shopping experience” targeted both Israelis and Hebrew-speakers abroad, and was available on the site’s desktop, mobile browser and mobile app iterations.

“Customers can now browse and shop in Hebrew and choose to shop in many currencies, including [New] Israeli Shekel,” the company said.

The new free shipping offer allows customers in the Jewish state to purchase under Israel’s $75 exemption limit – which allows shoppers to import goods without paying either import tax or the Value Added Tax (VAT).

We make the shopping experience for our Israeli and Hebrew speakers even better and more convenient,” Samir Kumar, Vice President of Amazon Exports and Expansion told Israeli News site Calcalist. “Customers have requested a shopping experience in Hebrew, with access to items available for shipment to them and in their local currency. Displaying the Hebrew language, and the free shipping benefit on Amazon.com to our customers in Israel, simplifies the browsing, purchasing and shipping of millions of it
