BEIT SHEMESH (VINnews) — During Yud Tes Kislev celebrations in Kfar Chabad, the Malchus band performed musical accompaniment, including celebrating singer Yoeli Rabinowitz. When prime minister Netanyahu arrived, Rabinowitz, who is a Satmar Chassid, was forced to be part of the welcoming party, singing Le’Binyamin Amar in honor of the prime minister as well as the song Va’ani Evtach Bach.

In the wake of his performance, Rabinowitz was severely rebuked by his fellow Satmar Chasidim for participating in the welcoming ceremony.

An anonymous placard signed by “The Charedi Jews” attacked him and the band for honoring the prime minister  and demanded that every person as well as other singers cease cooperating with the Malchus music band as it had given honor to the prime minister “who is at the head of the government which uproots Torah, Judaism and belief from Israel.”

Rabinowitz published a letter of apology for his conduct in his local Beit Shemesh synagogue, where he wrote that “since I transgressed and unwittingly  participated in a singing event in Kfar Chabad with the Malchus band in which the prime minister of the unbelievers participated, and I wished to leave but due to the security there I couldn’t leave and from this ensued a desecration of G-d’s name.

“Since I  transgressed such a serious matter in flattering and honoring evil people and desecrating G-d’s name, I have had not rest, especially as I was educated in the footsteps of our holy rabbi (Rabbi Yoel of Satmar), I state that this was not done by me willingly, but since both wittingly and unwittingly desecration of G-d’s name is forbidden, I pray before G-d and request forgiveness for the transgression, and may he forgive me.”

Kol hakavod for apologizing.

Though I’m sure he could leave if he wanted to. No one at an event like this is surprised by the prime ministers appearance. They must have rehearsed for weeks.

Just sayin’

Hmm….
He could run for public office here in the good ‘Ol USofA, where Apologizing for faux, non existent ,perceived transgressions is the first step toward seeking public office. Just ask Michael Bloomberg
Now, if he could only muster up some actual tears there would be ino stopping him

I hope that that’s the worst and hopefully ONLY sin you ever do in your lifetime. You should be embarrassed to even have written this letter of apology.

No one is saying that the Israeli leadership is holy. Far from it. But in America when chassidshe rebbes and others meet with homosexual politicians why is that ok.

What does Kol hakavod mean? And whenever it means why couldn’t you write it in plain English?

shame he has to apologize; no room for understanding individuals as having different opinions and respecting the differences?

It is used in common conversation to mean, “Good for you.” It’s a sufficiently common phrase that the majority of readers know it. It also often carries a sarcastic undertone. But no harm in providing background information on request.

Fish yoach, Netanyahu never said he doesn’t believe in Hashem. In fact, he does and he tries to observe Judaism in many situations. I’m not saying he’s the ultimate Yid, what I’m saying is that you have right right saying he’s an apikoras because he’s not. And Satmar with their rabbonim at the helm, frequently invite politicians who are true apikorsim and machti es harabim who endorse and enable all kinds of sinful behavior with the Satmer block who voted for them. It’s ok for Satmer to express support for these true reshuim, but not for other Jews who wish to express their thanks for another Jew, who does believe in Hashem, who tries to enable Jews to live in peace as much as possible? This is utterly hypocritical.

And don’t tell me Satmer propaganda that before Israel’s independence Jews lived in peace with the Arabs. That is completely untrue. The Arabs always kept on harassing Jews and commiting violence upon them. And do you want Eretz Yisroel to look like Iran, Iraq, Syria and other wartorn Muslim countries look now, thousands of Yidden dead, c”v? It’s disgraceful how Yidden could be such kufi tovim.

You are not a religious Zionist but a liar. You’re only fooling your mother. and as pointed out , a mumar who refuses to listen to your rav. There, now I pointed it out. You’re also not the posek HaBlog . If you don’t like the song, don’t sing. We sing. Let G-D judge his circumstances , not a blogging Internet hypocrite. Now, sheked!!
