BNEI BRAK (VINnews) — After the Israeli government decided to impose a total lockdown on Bnei Brak and declared it a “restricted zone” in order both to prevent the spreading of coronavirus outside the city and to remove existing patients and elderly people from the town, thousands of soldiers came to the town to implement the government’s policies. Despite the lockdown leaving large families in small apartments dependent on the government and army for supplies, residents demonstrated goodwill towards the soldiers and even invited them to their Shabbos meals.  Doron Herman of News13 tweeted some heartwarming clips from the beleaguered city:

Takes a crisis for them to be nice to those who protect and help them.

Presently the IDF cannot accept meals on Shabbos or any other time, as they would be in close proximity, to individuals who have already been living in close quarters. If this was a different time, I would say yes, but certainly not now!

Excuse me, there are hundreds of videos of how in times of crises, such as terrorist attacks, fires, and other tragedies that frum yidden are bringing coffee, pastries to the first responders. This is a Jewish trait all over the world.
