Watch: 16-Year-Old Girl Takes Care Of Six Young Children After Their Parents And Siblings Contract Coronavirus

6

TEL TZIYON (VINnews) — A large family in the town of Tel Tziyon north of Jerusalem had it’s life rudely interrupted by the coronavirus. The father contracted the virus and is in serious condition. The mother, who gave birth just two weeks ago, also contracted the virus. Three of her nine children, including the infant just born, have also contracted the virus and have been removed from their home to isolation. Six frightened children were left to fend for themselves without their father and mother. Nobody wanted to care for them, since they too might be infected with the virus.

In an act of true courage, a 16-year-old neighbor who is not related to the family, Tamar Heinman, agreed to go into their house and take care of all the other children. She explained that she is young and healthy and her immune system is robust so that she is not worried about contracting the virus and she feels the mitzvah is too great to pass up. Israel’s channel 13 took a video of the 16-year-old playing mummy-and-daddy to the six children.

Barry and Larry- you must know what ‘kol hakavod’ means because you spelled it correctly when “Worried” did not (he wrote ‘Kol Hakvod’).
