He was a true tzaddik, leader, had an immense heart. He was a brilliant rov and dealt with everyone and anyone with complete respect and class.
The three times that I was in Detroit Rabbi Zachariash treated me wonderfully and was of great help to me. I know that after graduating from the same yeshiva that I went to, Ner Israel in Baltimore, that he came to Detroit when he was very young. What he achieved in Detroit is remarkable. Besides being a big talmid chocham, he was a great mensch. He always greeted people cordially and with a smile. I will always treasure his kindness to me when I was collecting for Yad Aharon in Israel. May his neshamah rest in Gad Eden and may his family be comforted and know of only simchas in the future.
