FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Several Spirit Airlines employees were injured Tuesday night when they were attacked by three women who were apparently upset that their flight from Fort Lauderdale to Philadelphia had been delayed, sheriff’s officials said.

The women hit the employees with “miscellaneous items, such as phones, shoes, full water bottles, metal boarding signs and fast food,” according to Broward Sheriff’s Office arrest reports. The incident happened outside the gate of a flight to Philadelphia in the airport’s Terminal 4.

The airline said three employees at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport suffered minor injuries when the women “became combative following a delayed flight.”

WPLG posted video of the attack, which shows the women throwing items at the employees and going behind the counter where they physically attacked at least one person.

Deputies arrested the women, who are all from Philadelphia. Tymaya Wright, 20, was charged with battery and petit theft for taking a Spirit employee’s phone and putting it in her backpack. Danaysha Dixon, 22, and Keira Ferguson, 21, were both arrested on battery charges.

They were taken to the jail, where they later posted bond. Jail records did not list attorneys for the women.

Black Lives Matter!!! They were just expressing their disdain for a system that keeps them from getting what they want. It would be a disgrace to charge them with any crimes and those white slaver ground personnel need sensitivity training.

It’s not they’re fault, it’s the systemic racism!

I flew Spirit and if I can provide a public service, I advise you NOT to fly Spirit. I can understand why those two wildcats were throwing punches.

Only a real blithering idiot with zero self-esteem ever flies Spirit of Frontier airlines. Sick people who like to be abused fly Spirit. Ooh, I saved $6.45 by flying Spirit. I also paid an additional $85 for a car service to get to the obscure airport that they fly out of. Ohh, I’m so smart. These young ladies only have themselves to blame. Yes Spirit and Frontier are the worst of the worst and they are trained to lie and cheat, but hey, you shouldn’t of flown with them.

When I started using commercial airliners years ago, people would dress up in their best business suits. There was a better demographic class of people who flew in those days. However, since flying has been opened to the masses, we see violent incidents such as this one occurring with more and more frequency, both in the terminal, and onboard the aircraft. Also, on the planes, one encounters smelly people who don’t know what deodorant is or refuse to use it, fat slobs who take up more than one seat, people with tattoos, who look like they are from a motorcycle gang, passengers who persist in talking loudly on their cell phones, when it is prohibited to do so, and passengers who like to kick the seat in front of them. Essentially, there is very little difference onboard a commercial aircraft, or riding the NYC subway. In fact, the animals in the cargo compartment are in most cases, treated more humanely than the human passengers. In summary, if anyone can avoid flying commercial, they should do so.

Just too bad that animals are allowed to fly as humans.
