Breslav Chasidim Detained In Ukraine Airports As Ukraine Shuts Borders To Pilgrims

10

ODESSA (VINnews) — Ukraine has decided peremptorily to prevent the pilgrimage of Breslav chasidim to Uman by closing its borders until the end of September. A number of Breslav chasidim decided to try and preempt the closure -due to start on the 29th of August – by leaving immediately on a flight to the Ukraine. However the Ukrainian government was unimpressed and refused the chasidim entry to the country.

Chasidim stranded at the airport report that they are being treated like hostages and are being forced to sign documents which will require them to return immediately to Israel. In the meantime they have been forced to stay in the airport in harsh conditions.

Breslav chasidim are not sure whether to blame Israeli prime minister Netanyahu- who reportedly warned the Ukrainians to restrict the number of people entering, although the prime ministers’ office has denied this – or coronavirus project manager Ronny Gamzu who allegedly wrote a letter to the Ukrainian president warning of the consequences of a mass assembly at Uman. An ad-hoc protest against Netanyahu, who is currently vacationing in Tzfat, took place Thursday.

One Breslav chasid wrote that “we are shocked and distraught that families which wanted to reach Uman before the 29th of August when the borders will be closed to air traffic and who bought tickets for full money and arrived in Kiev are being arrested there for the crime of being chasidim. At present they are detained and have been told that they will be returned to Israel by 5PM tomorrow.”

If many come down with Coronavirus travel insurance does not cover hospitalization. Who will pay for weeks of hospitalization? And would they expect to get a plane back home whilst infected, and infect the plane’s workers? Really along for trouble. Shules in Australia have been closed since March with RH around the corner, and they want to dispense with social distancing with thousands together.

They tried to beat the system and the RUSSIANS would not hear of it.
And Nehehehebaaaach…… the Russians are treating them with HARSH conditions.
Wait until the Russians really treat them harshly C”V then they realize that the airport condition were Gan Eden (Russian style).

Just thinking about them being stuck in the airport makes me cry. Nehehehebaaaach……

Not a problem. Mr. Biden has a lot of connections with the Ukrainian government. He can always threaten tuem with Quid pro Quo. I’ll even lie for him again.

What is wrong with these people?

This is a חילול ה.

Torah teaches respect for government, following the law of the land, and exceedingly guarding health.

These guys should grow up (note that they all seem quite young), and count their blessings that they are in the holy land, ארץ ישראל.

Some way out cult cannot be allowed to do irresponsible things and have the ציבור as a whole pay the bill for it when it inevitably comes due.
