Opinion: Why does Senator Harris support the Iranian Regime?

During the Vice-Presidential Debate, we heard about the support the Iranian Regime would receive from a Joe Biden – Kamala Harris Administration. It was made clear once again when Sen. Harris attacked President Trump for withdrawing from the Obama-Biden negotiated JCPOA, also known as the Iran Nuclear Deal.

Sen. Harris and Vice President Biden have pledged on multiple occasions to return the United States to the JCPOA, because in their belief, the deal would prohibit the Iranian Regime from obtaining a nuclear weapon. On the contrary, the JCPOA gave the Iranian Regime the runway needed to obtain a nuclear weapon and to purchase previously restricted weapons like missile and anti-aircraft systems.

Returning to the JCPOA would be the biggest foreign policy disaster that the Biden-Harris ticket could possibly make, and it leads me to ask a few questions:

Why would the Biden-Harris ticket want to cozy back up to an Iranian Regime who has the blood of American servicemen and women on their hands?

Why would the Biden-Harris ticket lift the crippling economic sanctions that have put a stranglehold on the flow of money to Iran’s terrorist proxies like Hamas and Hezbollah?

Why would the Biden-Harris ticket want to support a regime that chants “Death to America,” “Death to Israel” and “Death to the Zionists”?

It doesn’t make any sense to me but it makes perfect sense to the Iranian Regime.

It should come as no surprise that the terrorist Iranian Regime is praying that the Biden-Harris ticket is victorious next month, because they know it means they wouldn’t have to be accountable for their actions and that their pathway to a nuclear weapon would become much closer to reality.

On the flipside, President Trump, Vice President Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pomepo have struck a much different tone and their message is clear for the Mullahs of Iran: The current administration does not support or negotiate with terrorists and will continue to do everything they can to support the innocent people of Iran, not the Mullahs who use their vast wealth to fund their terrorist proxies around the world. The days of receiving $1.7 BILLION in cash on pallets are long gone!

To that point, it was President Trump who tweeted out a public statement to the Iranian Regime calling on them to not execute the famous Iranian Olympic Wrestler, Navid Afkari, whose only “crime” was to speak out against the evil regime. Trump tweeted: “To the leaders of Iran, I would greatly appreciate if you would spare this young man’s life, and not execute him.”

After Navid’s sentencing was made public, did Senator Harris issue a similar call to halt the execution? She did not. Sadly, Navid was executed by the Iranian Regime.

The record is clear. President Trump will never allow the Iranian Regime to obtain a nuclear weapon. Senator Harris’s record is also clear. In a July 2019 Candidate Q&A with the Council on Foreign Relations, Harris called Trump “reckless” for withdrawing from the JCPOA and pledged to return America to the deal.

Senator Harris is the one who is reckless! Doesn’t Senator Harris realize that by supporting the Iranian Regime, she is also sending a clear message to one of America’s strongest and most stable foreign allies (Israel) that she is more concerned with the Iranian Regime’s well-being than the future of the world’s only Jewish state, Israel?

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei recently referred to Israel as a “Zionist cancerous tumor” and also said that Zionism was a “virus”. What does Senator Harris think would happen to Israel if the crippling economic sanctions and the arms embargo were lifted from Iran?

In closing, I find it to be incredibly reckless for Senator Harris to pledge her unwavering support for returning to the JCPOA. This statement alone is enough to disqualify her from ever being one heartbeat away from the most powerful position in the world.

Under President Trump’s leadership, we know that the Iranian Regime will never obtain a nuclear weapon and that he will always stand shoulder to shoulder with our allies in the region to choose peace instead of terrorism.
