JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Yisrael Beitenu leader Avigdor Liberman broke new records this weekend in inciting against the Chareidi public. In a Friday night interview on Channel 12, Liberman was asked whether he would consider collaborating with the Chareidim in order to remove prime minister Netanyahu. Liberman answered that “I would take Netanyahu together with the Chareidim on a wheelbarrow to the nearest garbage dump.” Despite the shocking insinuation, the interviewers Eyal Berkowitz and Ofira Assayag broke out laughing and did not attempt to attenuate Liberman’s comment.

Liberman’s outburst provoked furious responses both from Chareidi and religious Zionist politicians. Housing Minister Yaakov Litzman said that “a hateful inclination and an urge to incite are what motivate Liberman and cause him to go off the rails and use gutter phrases and filthy speech. The public will judge and see if in order to gain a few votes there is justification for losing one’s wisdom and logic. It is both disgraceful and pitiful. I call on the Attorney-General to investigate this, since unfettered and dangerous incitement which could harm an entire public is against the election laws.”

Deputy Transport Minister MK Uri Maklev (UTJ) said that “these words are way beyond the red lines in politics. The content and the way in which it is expressed proves once again that there is no dispute but rather hatred and incitement. These words should be examined in a criminal light – but when we see how far the incitement can deteriorate, we must give our answer at the polling booth on election day.”

Deputy Education Minister Meir Porush said that “it’s time we brought professional elements in to the picture, I wouldn’t send a Jew to a garbage dump, but a trip to Abarbanel (mental hospital) wouldn’t hurt him.”

MK Yisrael Eichler said: “Liberman isn’t the first one to suggest putting us on wheelbarrows and sending us to a “good garbage dump.” Before him others threateneed and even did this. This is not mere racism of a crazed enemy but a real threat and a call to battle. The Israeli police must investigate him on suspicion of incitement to harm Chareidi Jews.”

Numerous other MKs responded to Liberman’s outburst, and the Be’Tzalmo organization filed a formal petition with the Attorney General to open an investigation over incitement to violence and racism. The organization compared Liberman’s statement to that of PLO founding chairman Ahmed Shukeiri who called to “throw the Jews in the sea” and Israel used this to prove the PLO’s antisemitism.

B’Zalmo also warned that if an investigation was not opened, such words could lead to violence “and the writing is on the wall. If the Attorney-General will not annouce an investigation, it means that Chareidi blood is unimportant.”

Remember the times when zionists were trying to pretend, and some simplistic gullible men even believed them, that Israel is a JEWISH state? That was very long time ago…

I didn’t realize Leeb had Trump as his mentor when it comes to inciting hate speech. I thought only Bibi was allowed to do that, also following Trump.
