JERUSALEM – It was a collaborative effort between the Shin Bet, the IDF and the Israeli Police. Finally, however, the murderer of Yehuda Guetta who carried out the shooting attack at the Tapuah Junction was captured in a joint operation.

On Wednesday evening, Israeli forces captured Muntasser Shalabi, 44, a resident of the village of Turmus Aya in Ramallah, Apparently he had no organizational affiliation. Two other Israeli civilians, Yeshiva students, were wounded in the attack.

Shalabi was living in the United States for many years and had returned to the Palestinian territories a year ago.

The vehicle that he used in the attack was torched by other Palestinians after it was abandoned in the village of Aqraba near Nablus. Police arrested several Palestinian residents of the village on suspicion that they had provided shelter and other assistance to Shalabi.
Shalabi was hiding in the village of Silwad.

Guetta zichrono livracha was a resident of the Kiryat Moshe neighborhood of Yerushalayim. He is survived by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
