30 Russian Couples Marry In Moving Cable Cars, Setting New Record

NEW YORK (VINnews) — Marriage has been described before as a bumpy ride, but for 30 Russian couples it started out literally on a swinging cable car. The couples made their vows while on a 720 meter cable car ride on a rainy day in Moscow. They also hoped to break a Guiness world record for people getting married simultaneously while in the air.

Newlywed Sergei Ryabenko said that “its magical” while his new spouse Yelena added “Yes of course but its awfully shaky here.”

Dmitri Petrov said that “We wanted something unusual and so we saw an ad. It’s very interesting to take part in setting such an unusual record with a high number of participants in air.”

Darya Zatevakhina added that “We wanted to remember this moment, and make it as unusual as we can.”
