JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Facebook and Instagram have blocked the private accounts of Yair Netanyahu, the son of Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu, for 24 hours, after he posted a declaration calling on the Israeli public to demonstrate outside the home of Yemina MK Nir Orbach, who is wavering in his support of the government being formed by his party. The declaration mentioned Orbach’s personal address.

Netanyahu responded by tweeting that “The Bolsheviks at Facebook, Deep State, big tech and the pseudo-judicial system together with their minions have blocked me for 24 hours because of this picture! The new government is leading Israel into a very dark era. Let’s hope it doesn’t end in gulags.” Netanyahu added a number of North Korean flags to his tweet.

In another tweet, which was quickly removed by Twitter, Netanyahu wrote that “Instagram removed a post of a poster from a demonstration outside Nir Orbach’s house! 1984 is here!” This post also boasted North Korean flags.

At present Twitter has also blocked Yair Netanyahu’s tweets for the same reason, a seeming intervention in Israeli internal politics by all of the tech giants.

Maybe those 24 hours will be during Shabbos.
