JERUSALEM (VINnews) — The new government formed by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid took its first official picture in accordance with tradition at the residence of President Rivlin, who is due to leave the residence in just two weeks time. The new government includes 34 ministers, with the prominent positions being Foreign Minister and Alternate Prime Minister Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid), Defense Minister Benny Gantz (Blue and White), who is also deputy prime minister; Finance Minister Avigdor Liberman (Yisrael Beitenu); Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked (Yamina), Justice Minister Gidon Saar (New Hope) , Education Minister Yifat Shasha-Biton (New Hope), Transport Minister Merav Michaeli (Labor) and Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz (Meretz). For the first time in its history Israel will have a handicapped minister, Karin Elharar, who will serve as Energy Minister.
