PM Bennett Authorizes Booster COVID-19 Shot For Israelis Over 60

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Prime Minister Naftali Bennett announced Thursday that he was adopting the recommendations of a health ministry panel stating that old people and people at high risk should receive a third booster shot against coronavirus. Research has shown that this group, which was the first to receive vaccinations a half a year ago in Israel, is losing its antibodies to the virus and is thus at risk of infection. For this reason they will be the first group to receive the shots from the beginning of August. Bennett said that 60-year-old President Herzog would be the first to vaccinate and also called on those who have yet to receive the vaccine to go and vaccinate.

Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz declared that people should act responsibly and not flaunt the rules which require isolation for those exposed to infected persons and to maintain the rules which prevent large events taking place unless the people participating are either vaccinated or recovering or have been tested recently for coronavirus.

Professor Nachman Asch, director of the Health Ministry, said that there is no medical reason at present not to take the booster vaccine, which has been tested on certain groups and proved to be both effective and without significant side effects.

Israel has seen a significant spike in cases of coronavirus over the past month, with the number of infected persons growing exponentially from a few hundred per day to over 2000 per day in the last week of July. The rise in serious cases and mortality has been more moderate but officials are worried that the natural drop in immunity in the older and weaker population could lead to more drastic rises in sickness and mortality.

I find it ironic that the PM gets to decide when to adapt the recommendations of the medical panel and when not to…. if you trust the panel, then adapt it all the time, and if you dont entrust, who are you to decide when yes and when no? Anyone can explain the “logic”?

It’s like saying Biden will decide when to follow the CDC and when not to…..

If Biden can decide, why cant I decide??? Hes no greater medical genius than I….

Wow this is never gonna end. How dare he institute boosters, where’s the science showing it’s safe? Where’s the science showing it’s needed? How many more people need to get injured before people wake up?
My grandmother got her first vax six months ago…. She hasn’t been the same since. Keeps falling. Constant pain. Horrible debilitating headaches. Emergency room visits. Doctor to doctor to doctor. And she says not one knows what’s wrong with her. NONE. That’s because doctors don’t know vaccine injury if it hit them in the head with a hammer.
