JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Rabbi Yitzchak Yehuda Yaruslavski, the senior Chabad rabbi in Israel who also serves as rabbi of the Chabad community in Kiryat Malachi, has issued a sharp letter regarding those who oppose COVID-19 vaccinations. The current spike in cases in Israel has affected the chareidi community as well and in particular Chabad communities with Kfar Chabad leading the charts in rates of infection.

In the letter published on Monday, Rabbi Yaruslavski writes that “it is scary to hear that there are some of our adherents who have not vaccinated against the virus. I address each and every one of our adherents or whoever reads this letter, they must immediately vaccinate since this is Pikuach Nefesh (life-threatening) and can cause Heaven forfend harm to many other Jews. Please go immediately to vaccinate and save lives.”

At the end of his letter, Rabbi Yaruslavski writes that those who oppose vaccinations should be prohibited from entering shuls “or any other public place, since this is a matter of life and death.”

Israel is now conducting a massive campaign to encourage vaccinations, with over a million people having received the booster third vaccination and more than 60% of the population already vaccinated twice. The booster vaccination has already proven effective in lowering rates of infection and serious illness among those who have received it -currently from the age of 50 and over.

This is becoming crazyer by the day, do those rabbis have any clue what they’re promoting, not to let someone enter a shul even if he already had corona? For what in heaven’s reason?

The anti vaccination stampede has lost its mind and refuse to see the facts. Sure , there are possible side effects but overall covid was dramatically reduced in the USA and Israel almost wiped it out. Now the variants are spreading and they are upping the rate again. Maybe morre injections are needed , but this plague is not well understood. Stop blaming everything on pols or pro vacc rabbis and I’m anti pols. You refuse tp acknowledge this plague for what it is. You’re risking people’s lives including your families. This is dangerous.

An investigation is warranted to find the culprits behind the insane dangerous propaganda against vaxxes.
This is more contagious than covid itself. You dont’t vax? Then stay the heck away from the rest of us.

I spoke with Rabbi Yeruslavsky regarding this issue and in my opinion he has no real knowledge (whatsoever) of the virus, the vaccines etc. While I know him personally as an extremely nice person his position here (and who knows where else) is totally irresponsible. Does he know or care that most people in Israel in critical care were/are vaccinated ? The vaccinated, transmit the virus as much as the unvaccinated? that thousands are dying from “taking” the vaccines?? there are people who don’t need or can’t have the vaccines? HE DOES NOT. Is he so sure of the long term effects/affects that he can with so much confidence make his extreme edict??? HE DOES NOT. FYI I am vaccinated with the JJ vaccine. What Rabbi Yeruslavsky put out, its tone, and its wide sweeping pronouncement is a shame to the Rabbinate. Rabbi Shlomo Ezagui

The rav is wise and decisive.
(Full disclosure: I am NOT a Chabad constituent.)

So even if someone has antibodies and doesn’t need the vaccine, this Rabbi forbids him from coming to shul because of dinei nefashos.

But to get an experimental shot which, kuli alma lo plgi, has at least some risk, is not dinei nefashos?

I am a member of the chabad community and i personally know direct info about rabbi yeroslavski, his parents a”h were great tzadikim and use to stay in my house in crown heights, his briliant sister stays in my house every year on tishrei, and she said that her brother is not the smartest cookie in the jar….

what right does this man have to make such rulings based on something he knows nothinv about? A ben chomesh lemikra can see that he is completely ignorant on this issue.

I personally know at least a dozen people that got very sick or died immediately after taking the vaccine.

Fact is that the vaccine is clearly not working they way they said it would..

There is a brilliant doctor named dr sherry tenpenny , i watched an hour long video of her explaining this vaccine immediately as it was released and she described to the t exactly what is happening today…. and that it would not work and they would be pushing a booster…. btw every thing she explained is based on real science… unlike follow “the” science…. i hope you can still find her videos on google and see for yourself.

I wonder how they’re getting to the Rabbis.
