After the students applied themselves assiduously to their studies during the year, they were rewarded with a unique trip and are making history as the largest Jewish group ever to visit Dubai.

The trip’s highlight is scheduled for Wednesday night, when two of the students will get married according to Jewish law under a chuppa canopy in the middle of the Dubai desert. For most of the guests, the hundreds of students who will be there, it will be their first time seeing a Jewish wedding, which will no doubt leave a lasting impression on the direction that their personal lives will take.

On Thursday night the students will have another uplifting experience as they are scheduled to visit the grand “Expo” hall in Dubai at a ceremony which will be attended by official government representatives of the UAE. During the event the participants will recite the Shema prayer and accept upon themselves the Yoke of Heaven..

The trailblazing project led by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Wilansky and his dedicated team aims to target the next generation of Russian Jews and rouse their Jewish consciousness. The YahaD organization offers a broad spectrum of classes and programs for Jewish students during the entire year.

From Russia to Dubai, not to Eretz Yisroel???

Is this what the late Rebbeh of Lubavitch stood for, making Dubai the new promised land? WADR to Dubai (we are definitely grateful for the good relations now) it is not Eretz Yisroel.

For all those casting aspersions, there are kids in the FSU learning because of the selfless acts of Chabad. Maybe many had already been to EY, maybe the organization knew that a chance to go to Dubai would really motivate the kids. None of you know but you sit in judgment from your homes while Chabad puts boots on the ground in these cruddy places.

All the commenters wondering why they’re going to Dubai rather than to Zionist-controlled Eretz Yisrael should perhaps consider:

Zionism is diametrically opposed to the Torah and the Zionists hate the Torah and those that practice actual Judaism as opposed to the (attempted) Zionist replacement of that.

So, for a trip to celebrate Torah Judaism, avoiding the Zionists makes much sense.
